His graduation thesis describes a research to quality improvement in the software development process. VerAutomation is growing more and more with the result that project are more difficult to control. Mark had to examine the most important improvements that VerAutomation should make. The graduation assignment is given to an academic student, because VerAutomation wants to improve continuously in managing her projects. The formulated central research question for the assignment was: How can the software development within VerAutomation be improved, in order that VerAutomation can produce more effectively and efficiently. By improving the process of software engineering, projects can be better controlled and production will be more efficient.

A process assessment according to the Capability Maturity model Integration (CMMI) has been taken place to examine the situation. Looking at the final recommendations of this research, some qualitative measures were established. VerAutomation will be able to produce more structured In the future whereby the quality of the process of software development is improved. A shorter time-to-market and qualitatively a better product are the desirable final results. In this way VerAutomation will be able to fulfill the wishes of her customers even better than before.
